If you are talking about receiving payments, I believe this is not possible if you reside in an unsupported country. However, if you have a bank account in a supported country I believe it could work even if you don't reside there. Best to ask Stripe support though to get a comprehensive answer...

Fear of vulnerability, my term for perfectionism. While external things like marketing and invoicing can be a challenge, the biggest challenge is, and always will be, your view of yourself and the world. This is were success and failure ultimately come from.

Thank you very much for your feedback!

I absolutely agree with you! This is one of the main reasons why I created SuperSettings.

I am aware of EditorConfig and I think the greatest strength of it is the ability to configure different editors with one cross-editor configuration file. However, it's greatest strength is also a weakness since it handles, like you correctly said, only general style settings. For example, an important thing for me was the ability to configure the rulers in Sublime Text, which EditorConfig can't do. SuperSettings allows you to configure any Sublime Text setting, so you can, for example, have different color themes for different folders.

Doesn't Sublime Text already support this on a per-project basis, i.e. the "settings"-section in ´.sublime-project´ files?

Not fully, you cannot configure syntax specific settings (settings for different markup/programming language files) in ".sublime-project" files, only globally. Also, for ".sublime-project" files to work, you need to add the project to Sublime Text's project list. I wanted something more flexible...

Thats a good tactic, I have done similar things in the past by using mind maps to first create an overview which then created more flow and less overthinking.

"Unnecessarily complex sub systems just to get the flexibility I don't need." I would be lying if I said that I am not familiar with this... :)

Great point! This does require quiet some discipline though :)

Not really. Having several other opened projects is enough.

Yes, in that case definitely...

Thanks for your feedback!

Certainly... at times. However, I have spent hours before trying to find an answer or needed a good answer quickly. Was there ever a time where a service like that would have been handy for you?

Does this apply to the BSD 3-clause license? As far as I can tell no, but would be great to hear other people's opinion...

As far as I can tell: no, unless GitHub takes taking excerpts from works too far and redistributing them without the licence attached. But nobody else is allowed to deal in those excerpts then, except via the original licence, so, likely not.

But 4-clause BSD and similar advertising clauses are _probably_ affected, and Apache 2 _when_ a NOTICE text file exists is _very likely_ affected. (Maybe even without; the Apache 2 licence requires giving recipients a copy of the licence text, too.)

Thanks for your reply!

Regarding "Maybe even without; the Apache 2 licence requires giving recipients a copy of the licence text", doesn't the BSD 3-clause license require this as well?

BSD/MIT/etc. only require the licence text to be present, usually by retaining it in the source code or accompanying documentation. Yes, it’s close. No, I don’t want to go there and discuss this detail.

SEEKING THE HOLY GRAIL (& WORK) | Remote

I am currently on an archeological excursion with Indiana Jones and have found myself with some spare time. Instead of staring at the sand, I have decided to unpack my solar powered MacBook (a little souvenir from my trip to the future) and help some folks with their challenges and dreams.

I am best known for developing whipOS, the personal, powerful and playful operating system for whips. I also know a thing or two about creating websites, mobile apps and desktop apps. On top of that, I have developed whipCloud, the cloud service for keeping your whips in sync, which has taught me valuable things about setting up server environments.

Now it's your turn. Visit https://www.techhawk.io to get in touch with me and tell me about your challenges.

Thanks for reading! Live long and prosper!

Thank you very much for your feedback and ideas! I truly appreciate it!

Great point about having multiple people answer the question! Others also brought up that point, so it is certainly something to look out for.

The chat app idea makes a lot of sense. Why would "there weren't too many problems actually getting paid" be important for you?

Thank you very much for your feedback and ideas, I truly appreciate it!

You raise a lot of good points. One of my main concerns is the pricing model: 5-10€ would be quiet appropriate for small questions that take a few minutes to answer, but is too low for more complex questions that require research. On top of that, it also matters where the person answering the questions comes from since rates vary from country to country. I do not want this to become a place like, for example, Upwork where things tend to be a race to the bottom and you have people answering complex questions for 50 cents. What did you mean with "there's your pricing model"?

Sorry, I meant pricing options. I the user wants fiddler then he could pay more. A writing explaination of the answer could be cheaper.

I understand, thanks for the clarification! Certainly something to consider...
