Read the comments. Utter garbage. Especially for a kernel. Maybe some CRUD app that manages people’s hotel rooms and even then it’s not trusted enough.

Well this was a terrible idea

My first thought reading the headline.

They need to go back and asset strip the project managers who lied. They also need to prosecute people for perjury, perverting the course of justice, fraud, misrepresentation and misuse of public funds. They all need prison time. It’s clear as day.

I think Sir Alan should launch a crowdfunding appeal to take as many people to court as he can.

If they're found not guilty, then launch other lawsuits, appeals etc for as long as possible. I don't particularly care if they're not found guilty but they should be put through the wringer as much as the innocent postmasters were

I wonder how much it costs to host this I bet it’s fortune.

Remember all those millions of people who said they would move to Canada the first time. Yeah no one else does either.

Is using Google still a thing lol? It was a common quote about 2 weeks ago wasn’t it?

All this just sounds like what a proper engineering team should be doing anyway.

Yes, they should. However, I've often seen teams lose track of all the services and components deployed. There is usually a dependency on one or two engineers, and when they leave, it introduces a significant knowledge gap in the team. Organizations are typically focused on growing the business, and it's usually only the cloud provider who benefits the most from the lack of visibility and optimization.

Wow, there are so many things to learn.

It’s shoved in anything. Look at any product now from soap to cement somewhere someone has just slapped AI on the marketing material.

Any examples? I really haven't seen one outside of hacker news launch attempts

Politicians are concerned because AI has the potential to eradicate middle-class jobs, especially those involving repetitive tasks like data entry. This could create significant socioeconomic issues. Consider how easily AI could replace project managers once integrated with tools like Jira, or how it could automate jobs that involve copying and pasting information between spreadsheets. This level of automation is what many have been anticipating, except for those without marketable skills, who may find themselves at a significant disadvantage.
