The planet is broken. Humans did it. 90% of people in charge don't care. If anything, this is the thing that will make GAI see us as a threat instead of a pet.
GAI needs to be careful how it optimizes without our noticing. Since we're using GAI for decision support, it's conceivable it could be subtly nudging us toward decisions ultimately leading to our demise.
