You have to wonder what it was about though - was it a coup similar to Altman and OpenAI? Was it a "Hey you seem more focused on other projects so you should just focus on those since that's what you want" thing? Was it that Jack didn't get to have his way on every little thing?
It's pretty telling that he is advising people not to use Bluesky though, guess he isn't happy with the direction they are going.

From a outsider's point of view, telling users to jump ship when pressing the eject button sounds like an action out of spite, not something that has the users' best interests in mind.
But is he a clever-enough asshat to position himself to replace Elon if the LBO lenders get it into their heads Dorsey could salvage some value? He has substantial financial motivation. Although he didn't invest more into Elon's deal, he left what was at the time about $1B in Twitter shares in the deal.
Dorsey is all-in on crypto and he's mad that Bluesky doesn't use it.
