Why not target a fast-food application, where taking orders would have no liability implications? The $9/hr would be far less than the $15/hr some of the more liberal states have set as minimum wage.



Because the workers taking your order are doing other stuff that a robot can't do, and they can't be paid $9 less an hour for not taking orders on top of that other stuff.

This is already happening and it doesn’t require advanced AI and expensive Nvidia chips.


They already do this at certain Checkers locations. Order with voice recognition.


Can confirm, my local Checkers has a voice assistant for orders. Typically only a single person working the kitchen and register.
