Slightly off topic, but am I the only one that disliked Pokemon Go the minute it came out? It was just so transparently grindy and "Free+". I wish there were more games like this that actually felt like a game and not a money vacuum.
Doesn't surprise me, unfortunately. Niantic isn't really an AR company, a geolocation company, or even much of a technology company. They are a "were incredibly lucky to get and exploit the Pokemon license" company and have been completely unable to move beyond that (not for lack of effort).
