That is linked from the page, and the mail includes more than just the test.


Yup. That's how I found it. And without the mail context, it didn't make much sense to me.


The context is irrelevant, the test itself is the thing that matters.


The context is everything...but actually, that just depends on who you are and is therefore subjective. For me, it isn't immediately obvious why such a test would even be necessary, so I find the source of it to be much more informative than the test itself...almost like transferring an experience rather than a cold hard fact...the latter of which I find incredibly unsatisfying.


Good point, if you aren't regularly thinking about what is and isn't an open source license, the desert island test must feel a bit weird to think about.
