EDIT: Looking at the publication history of Ohio star they have been writing about this multiple times the last weeks. Impressive. Nice to see that environmental agencies are setting up shop, too late in the game though.
I'm of the opinion that officials who declare a site is "safe for habitation" or whatever it was termed originally should personally guarentee this by habitating onsite for at least 3 months thereafter, drinking and bathing in the local water, visiting the outdoors locations, and so forth.
