Elon was counting on bad behavior making Twitter want to be rid of him and his deal. An understatement to say this was mistaken. He was trapped, by his own foolishness.
Then he thought to be clever: He was betting that by acquiring Twitter he could IPO or sell it, if not at a profit, then at less of a loss than what he would have had to pay too settle (if a settlement was even possible).
Now he is trapped without managers, coders, moderators, etc. and has destroyed enough of his own wealth for it to sting even someone as rich as him. He has destroyed Tesla's shiny image and valuation. Not too many have yet noticed Starship might be a Space Spruce Goose, but that's coming. He is trapped much worse than having to be the lone moderator at Twitter.
