Why would a non-business want this? It seems like you're paying extra to be tracked.

One of the few nice things about CA driving is that you're effectively allowed to drive without plates when you get a new car for 6mo. That's why Steve Jobs never had plates on his car. [0]

Is the hard-wired option only for commercial vehicles? That seems kind of like a missed opportunity.


This is only worst... the tracking was already bad... Steve Jobs used to buy a car every 6 months to avoid license plates... I think this law went away in CA
