Microsoft Teams is in my opinion a dark horse in a variety of areas where they refuse to align with the Windows OS team's choices. I sure wish they would, though, Teams has really inconsistent UX and I never really expect stuff to be wherever they put it. Also, the bugs on the message input field are tiresome, I've never had an application stop acknowledging arrow L & R in a text editor before.



Refusing to align with OS conventions is a long standing tradition in the world of Microsoft apps though.

MS apps and even web apps overwrite the foundational gnu readline functionality on MacOS, and don't give you an opportunity to revert. This is a really wild step no other developer would even consider taking.

This comment is meant in jest, but really Teams refusing to align with Windows is perhaps the most Microsoft thing they could do.
