I have an education stipend. I've had one at previous jobs, but often just let it go to waste. I'd use it on an IRL conference, but given COVID-19, that's off the table for personal reasons.
How do you all spend this benefit or recommend I spend it?
I can suggest certifications in topics that provide leverage in areas that challenge or trouble you at work. For example teamwork analysis, navigation of workplace change dynamics, and personal development that more closely aligns your workplace capabilities with your ideals for workplace change.
This would also apply forward into any job and open up new opportunities for you should you decide to change careers at any point; it would also apply to friendships, home relations, etc.
Another nice thing about this learning domain is that the theoretical side is directly accessible and it can mesh well with the development of new tech.
