A while ago I createad a reasonably popular video game. It's available for free on my website, but if you Google it, the Google Knowledge Panel attributes it not to me but to an unrelated spam site full of ads.
I've tried going through what appears to be the official channel:
I clicked "Claim this Knowledge Panel", filled out the form, affixed a photo of myself holding photo ID, and waited.
A reply came back after a few months: "we need additional verification that explains your business relationship with <game name>".
My conversation with Google Support, edited for brevity:
Me: "OK, what verification should I send?"
Google: "Could you please elaborate on your question"
Me: "No problem, what information do you need that I haven’t provided yet?"
Google: "please return to your knowledge panel and click “Claim this knowledge panel” to fill out the form."
Me: "I've already done that. You asked for 'additional verification' and I don't know what that is."
Google: "We couldn’t find any latest verification request or submission from your end. Please resubmit your verification form once again."
Me: "Okay, I'll fill out the form again. What extra verification should I include this time?"
Google: "Support Survey: How was your support experience?"
Has anyone successfully gone through this process? What do they want?
People have also edited the panel for Yucca Mountain to say it was open 1 hour a week, I guess for household nuclear waste disposal.
