A second login will help the average homebuyer design a home and find a builder/remodeler. Much like Angieslist.com, and servicemagic.com, who charge huge amounts for builders to be in their system and receive leads. Undercut the competitions price and deliver a better service. A site that is easy to navigate and fun for the Homebuyer and the Builder Client. 3-D renderings are relatively easy to produce now and there some plug-in programs that would integrate easily.
The third portion being a look into the future of homebuilding. Revolutionary ideas that people have not seen yet. Domes like Shiva Vencat's (YouTube), and hydrogen plug-ins. Becoming the source of what is next will bring traffic and advertising monies. My site already gets strong traffic. If you begin to type Explorer Homes into google it will appear below before you finish Explorer.
While I have projects in flow, I am prepared to set up shop in the Bay area, committ 100%, including stock option for Y Competitor, going public when the time is right, and putting in the hours to produce strong revenue for angel investors.
As a Realtor and Builder I see projects littering the Mid-Atlantic and know one really knows what to do. Everyone is waiting for market signs, indicators, confidence, better capital etc. While the site has huge potential, ramping my own company up to 200 ($Avg 25% profit or $50K per home clear)homes per year and becoming a top 200 homebuilder has eight digit potential as well. I can do this within 2 years. For $1M I could take down multiple subdivisions of finished Lots build model homes. to become an instant blip on the radar. My market is dominated by 2 Builders and is ripe for competition. In the next year I can expand smartly from a 1 State operation to a 3 State operation with very low overhead.
As an academic, I was enrolled in a PhD program for sustainable homebuilding, but had to stop to survive market conditions. Getting back in and becoming the authority in the future of homebuilding will ad credibility to our endeavor and help the site to sustain steady traffic into the distant future. | | submissions | | comments | | favorites |
