I believe you, but could you cite a source on there being a camera and it malfunctioning? Because damn, this is just getting truly impossible to believe it was just a suicide.
Other than all the other psychos who kill a lot more people but are considered legitimate in their doings... We need more access to their information, drug companies making opiates that kill tens of thousands, various other corporations, various world leaders... etc. If we can tolerate them, then we can tolerate your run of the mill psycho doing things now and then and usually immediately being stopped from doing anything else.
Please try to use a different example. I have CRPS, the most painful disease known to man, and have not been prescribed any analgesics two years in because of fear around opioids. You might think you’re excluding my ilk when examples like this are used but you’re not in practice...Just trading tragedy you know for tragedy I hope you never learn about. Almost exactly like the freedom from unreasonable searches. Ty
>Unfortunately there are no FDA approved tests for the infection she suspects I have (bartonella,) and the tests that are available are only 80% accurate and cost $1000 (not covered by insurance.)
FWIW I tested positive for Bartonella via Igenix. IIRC this was treated with Rifampin (not fun) and Bactrim (fine). Unfortunately the side effects of being on these antibiotics long term are pretty real. When you kill all the good bacteria in your gut, the fungus grows wild, so make sure you're addressing that.
It's a fine analogy: the former is something some people think is a good idea, and others think isn't, whereas about the latter most people agree it should not be done. Which is what OP wanted to express.
I installed it once in 2010, back on my G1 or G2 Android phone, back when phones still had keyboards. I deleted it after a few weeks when I realized how scary it was for an app to know my phone number and physical location and contacts, and link it with my real name on the internet. I never installed it again after that, and have always encouraged others not to.
I ride them daily, and I don't want to use a helmet. I feel that I and I alone am responsible for my own safety. It's not like other people are going to get hurt because I'm not wearing a helmet.
You have no parents, no siblings, no friends to grieve over you? The EMT whose effort to stabilize or resuscitate you fails should shrug and move on? Your employer is able to replace you with no disruption? Your insurance will cover your treatment and disability for the next 20 years?
Isn't that up to the workers? Uber drivers know they don't get benefits. It's meant to be a side-hustle not a full-time job. No one forces anyone to drive for Uber or Lyft. I don't find it exploitive in the slightest bit.
