So you get ads still! Whether or not they are from YouTube or the video creator is irrelevant. I thought paying was supposed to supplant needing to advertise to me during the actual video.
Alas, tubers feel the need to add sponsorships these days through either greed or reduced google revenue. Premiums "skip frequently skipped section" is about as easy as it can be to skip over them without blocking them entirely, short of using sponsorblock.
I'm not sure where the legality lies with them being able to skip it automatically if you're a premium user, I'd imagine their uploaders wouldn't be happy though.
It's even possible to set the cameras up in such a way that they only store data when a traffic violation occurs. That would address the surveillance issue.
I have a strong sense that the primary objection people have to red light cameras is that they don't like getting caught running red lights, and that the surveillance argument is a rationalization, not the real objection.
Automated traffic law enforcement is surveillance. The fact it's limited in scope and functionality doesn't matter. It's still surveillance.
All surveillance increases safety. The cost is freedom.
Do you trust humans with the ability to judge the situation and the freedom to decide to run a red light if they think it's safe? Or do you surveil every intersection and punish all infractions regardless of conditions or the existence of actual victims?
For people like me, it's a matter of basic human dignity. I want to be a human with the capacity for judgement and the power to act on it. I want to decide for myself. I want to live in a society that recognizes this. I won't sacrifice this dignity in the name of safety.
This does work with the screen on. But at least for me Vinegar background audio while locked hasn’t worked for the past several weeks. Once you lock it no longer recognizes there’s any media to play.
It has a lot of issues and sometimes it seems like there are two copies of the video – the one I’ve backgrounded and the one on the main page. So if I lock my phone it’ll go back to the part of the video the last time the phone was locked or start at 0:00. This is definitely annoying but if I fiddle with it enough I can get it to work okay-ish.
Still works for me. I still get the media overlay that tells me what is playing and elapsed/remaining time, but the actual controls do nothing (play/pause, rewind/forward).
Sometimes I get double audio; usually a refresh of the page fixes it.
You appear to have lost the thread (or maybe you're replying to things directly from the newcomments feed? If so, please stop it.), we're talking about what sort of incriminating written statements the raid might hope to discover.
Despite others saying that they have never seen it, Meijer stores have this, except instead of a store scanner you use your phone with an app. There are other reasons too, but this is a big part of why my family shops at Meijer compared every other store near us.
Interesting, I took SnK to mean Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin). I personally wouldn’t put it in a list of manga/anime that will be nostalgic in 20 years, but who knows.
Barcelona vs Athletic Bilbao had no away fans. It happens a few times every year across Europe. If you’re only looking at UEFA matches you’ll find fewer, but it’s not that unheard of. Argentina had a 12 year ban on away fans recently lifted as well.
