I'm going to go out on a limb and bet the vast majority of people do. For the typical person going to a supermarket with a car where they can see what is available and looks good just isn't a big task--especially because you usually have other errands to run in a given week.
IIRC 'feelies' was a term coined at Infocom by Brian Moriarty for the extra gewgaws that wound up in the boxes. I don't think the term was used much elsewhere in the industry, even though it did become part of the general gamer vernacular at the time.
Agreed. I mean, great that people make alternatives, but this was a solved problem long ago. Also EAC is a lots more user friendly that some python software.
Not sure, but they've really been active the last couple of years in language training and collaborative development. Plus, I happen to think their IDEs are probably the best out there (despite their relative complexity).
Been a happy user of their IDE suite now for many years, and IMHO, nothing else comes even close.
Given that I dislike being around people in general the pandemic has been fantastic for me in that it enabled me to work from home, and I've now managed to continue that with my current employment contract which has my permanent place of work listed as home.
Overall, not having to commute to the office (and pay for trains, fuel, lunches, etc) is saving me over £8k/year, and I still have the advantage of being able to go in when needed (such as if there's a social planned for the evening or suchlike).
