it is rather that wikipedia and google, parts of my weltbild (brain), get totally damaged in the wake of the adpocalypse

Google got really bad at providing relevant search results, wikipedia did a terrific job of providing URL to official websites and killing many of the relevant and interesting websites that I used to find left and right, they gone now.

I am sorry, but you still believe apple is safe? I mean id love to believe in that there still is some part of tech left, that will not be the reason for reprisals.

If 100 people do A after doing B and you are the 101st who does not want to do A, is it your fault or that of the algorithm? This is no "artificial intelligence" it is a fitness, a mutation and an evolution function, without any true randomness or "chaos" prediction (predicting the future...), but with added Advertising hidden between your reccomendations. Like they can not build flying cars so they reinvent the hovercraft. Aimed at the Internet of things, which will be the biggest tech bubble known to mankind. Sorry i have to vent that somewhere, but all my communication platforms have already been shut down.

If it constantly needs data in order to calculate predictions, then it is no artificial intelligence. It is plain Software, like a calculator. The only reason it is called artificial intelligence is because that would be the only reason to adopt this technology.

Again, it might be neat, having a computer like on star trek, but what if you oppose your government? What if you oppose anything, and suddenly your toaster burns down your house, locks you out, locks you in, reports your every move?

Look at Manning, look at Snowden, look at Assange. They opposed and now they get terrorized by the govrnment and the software they once happily used to use. Look at how i will be treated right here by others.

Stop this Masspsychosis.

It is phrases and words, accumulated to symbols, that form our thoughts. A whole network is being built upon it which will then be your subconcious mind. It is interesting how much of such phrases one might used to get a simple point across. Like an oyster hiding their pearl. To get to the pearl you need to be well aware so you are not trapped in a shell that is not yours.

I do not support the idea one bit. Sure, great stuff an all, if you do not care having everything behind a bottleneck, in the hands of other people. I do.

My 2 tinfoil hats: If they can't have your kernel, they try to get your shell...

To me, i really do not see the points listed to be missing. For instance my shell script for remote execution on multiple hosts needs somewhere around ten lines of code and a peer list. I would never outsource this to an external entity. Especially today.

In the city of Nuremburg, Germany in the year 2006 Siemens started to introduce automated trains. Until this day, they have to be operated under supervision. So how exactly do all these tech companies want to get the fact out of the way, that there is an actual AI needed before they can dive into autonomous cars driving the streets? The wet dream of big biz for sure, if only it could meet up with reality. Sorry for not thinking big enough, im just confused how those companies, that not even manage to get their own available products to be working flawless want to step into a market where things will cost lives.

There are dozens and dozens of fully automated train lines in fully automated operation: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_automated_urban_metro_...

get their own available products to be working flawless
Self-driving cars don't have to be flawless. They just have to be better than human drivers. This is probably feasible within the next 20 years or so.

Thats just Siemens being Siemens. Driverless trains are in no way trivial, but it has been done successfully.

“He (The Prince) must separate the people. And if the people cling to one another and refuse to part, then you must picture them as if they were in a pit and eventually they will push one of their own to the top to be their leader. And when they do, you must grab their hand and fling them to the mountain top with the villa. And if they refuse the villa you must cut his head off.”

Trust is the essence of things going crazy in this field. Who on earth can we trust these days? We dont even know if someone writing a comment on the internet isn't an agent of some company or government. So why should we trust in doctors selling chemotherapy and radiotherapy, while no one, until this day, has fully understood what cancer actually is, where it comes from and admitted that! The internet revealed most secrets about our own systems and how trust is being abused in almost every field. Pharmaindustries will never admit that the human body itself is the only thing in the universe that can heal our illnesses. Healing is a job our body does, not the medicine or a doctor. All drugs and docs can do is improve the conditions for our body to actually heal itself. In the worst case they will just chop that thing off causing you to be ill, and tell you that you've been healed. So why should we trust them anyway? I do not give alot about alternative techniques myself, since most of the time someone just wants to make money or fame with it, but i can see no difference in classical medicine these days. So i still visit a regular doctor, but i question his assumptions and double triple check what he is trying to make me do.

Some amount of mistrust of doctors is good.

An important question to ask a doctor is "what happens if we do nothing? What happens if we do watchful waiting?"

Doctors are human and they're subject to cognitive bias, so it's useful to check what they say against the science.

But that means using reliable, reputable, sources (eg the Cochrane Collaborations) and not some guy on the Internet making money selling goji berries as a cure for all cancer.
