Lost me at Web 3. Sorry for the snark but do books really need to be turned into decentralized assets? Is that really the optimal way to solve this problem for consumers/industry?

PipeWire was the only way I could get AirPod Pros to work in headset mode.

With pulseaudio, it was rabbit hole after rabbit hole only to find a solution that ended up not working.

I switched a few weeks ago and haven’t looked back.

Reminds me of the talk Rich Hickey gave about Clojure Spec and why semver fails.

What about Conway's Law?

Former startup employee here that lives in Dallas.

It's ok, and slowly growing, but it is very hard to raise money. There are groups trying to advocate for more startups but they just can't raise the capital. One such group is http://launchdfw.com/jobs/. SoftLayer was probably the biggest exit Dallas has seen. The money is just tied up in other industries and it won't be risked on high tech startups. The lack of capital being raised results in the lack of start up jobs in Dallas. When I was looking for a new job back in August, I think there was maybe 6 postings - one being my current company.

We are just a very IT / Enterprise heavy area. People are more likely to find a job at Match.com or AT&T.

Author here. This was a small weekend project I did in an attempt to become better at iOS development.

The math for the expenses is a little fuzzy using the following formula: number of seconds in meeting * (burn per person / average number of US working days in a month, in seconds), where burn per person = Company Burn Rate / Number of Employees in Company. The app, for now, assumes there are about 20 working days per month.

There is definitely room for improvement on the formula (seeing as me and some coworkers dreamt it up in a side conversation) but it is still funny to see the results.

Hope you all enjoy it!

I've been using http://getskeleton.com for my latest side project and it has been working out great.

This looks great! Nice job.

Also been using it for a while too. Solid app. Great job!
