Thats what parents and mentors are for. We as a society should not have to break our backs bending over backwards to stop people from doing stupid things. People can make their own descisions and be responsible for them. If they lack proper guidance, well that just sucks.
It's nice that you have a parent that cares about how you are raised, or "a mentor". Do you realize that not everyone has that?

Sure, let's take down all the speed limits and see what happens. Let's tell people it's an option to wear seatbelts and see what happens. Let's deregulate everything and hope for the best. Sounds reasonable?

There's this thing called "human nature". I think you should do some reading about it.
Counting the drawer and deposits take maybe 15 minutes a day. Its not difficult. Been running a small business for 10 mins and never had an issue with cash. God forbid someone robs us of the 300 bucks in the drawer. They can have it and insurance will cover it.
They can close it if you overdraw it too much, which tends to happen when you're poor. Hence people remain unbanked. Not to mention being homeless and having no where to receive mail. They may not refuse but where are they gonna mail your cards?
I would be rather embarrassed to spend $100 billion dollars creating a new feature that's not better than the legacy feature. (Notably, this isn't even a rewrite, this is greenfield work!)
