First, I absolutely love your username, 10/10! On top of others' impact on you when they give you some kudos or encouragement I'd like to add that [authentically and honestly] offering those kudos and encouragement to someone else also feels pretty incredible, compounding the effect.

And it really is important to reiterate the unintended, outsized impact your positive comments can have on the recipient. I've personally had 3-4 different people who I've known or worked with throughout my life come up to me years later and tell me how some [to me] small, offhand positive comment or compliment I'd given them had completely changed the course of their thinking on something or had kept echoing in their mind ever since.

I had had no idea until they told me.

So I guess it's also equally important, if somebody else has positively impacted you like that, to let them know what they did! It will likely completely surprise and encourage them.

Oh man, I couldn't live without Alfred's clipboard manager [paid] feature. I started using Alfred eons ago, bought their Powerpack, and haven't looked back since. The ability to resurface text or images I copied up to 3 months ago has saved my bacon too many times to remember.

To add more clarity here in case it's helpful: If you open the Rectangle app's settings menu and open the last tab (looks like a gear), you can play around with the "Gaps between windows" setting.

I have this set to 15px, so when I drag my app windows around, they snap to a grid with 15px spaces between the windows. Dunno why I find it so satisfying, but it really scratches an itch in my brain.

The use case you mentioned is pretty much exactly what I've been wanting to do: run some EQ / filtering / compression on my decent mic so I sound great in Zoom and Google Meet video calls.

I tried using OBS' audio filters and routing through VB-Cable for that, but people in the call complained that my audio was lagging behind the video. If Audio Hijack would address that issue, or if anyone has other suggestions, I'd really appreciate it. So far it feels like "close, but no cigar".

I land in a bit of a weird spot on this topic. Personally, I loathe using subtitles or CC because switching between trying to watch what's happening in the scene and quickly reading the text at the bottom of the screen over and over throughout a show or film leaves me feeling like I can't relax and enjoy it, even when I can hear what's happening just fine.

On the other hand, unfortunately, as many others have said - modern audio mixes almost force subtitles to be turned on, making it a 'necessary evil'.

First: you've built a great game that quickly earned a spot in my daily rotation, congrats and thank you!

Second: when sharing my results with friends via text, the fully-qualified URL in the results causes it to send 2 texts (1 with how I did and another linking to the site). Other games seem to have gotten around this by removing the protocol from the URL; would you be open to doing the same?

No big deal either way, just a potential weird quirk / quality of life improvement I thought I'd call out!

Figured I'd provide a link to the reddit thread in case anyone else (like me) was interested:
