Show HN: Another PaaS Alternative to Heroku – moCloud.io

Some folks at Tokyo just launched a Heroku alternative PaaS based on Docker containers called moCloud, what do you think?

https://mocloud.io

Some features to consider: - Designed for large scale - Host your Docker containers - Virtual private cloud - Dedicated machines, no shared VMs - Ship code thru GitHub

The main thing that disturbs me is load balancer ready pricing. Heroku is ready to scale by default and cheaper. Don't get me wrong, I'm really happy to see alternatives, I don't like monopoly

yeah, they have different pricing on load-balanced and single server stacks. But i'm not sure does Heroku provide "auto" scaling like AWS does or is it "manually" scaling?

You have both. For the $25/month, you can enable manual or automatic scaling. I said a mistake on the pricing, their 1GB memory is at $50/month. Are you thinking to add 512MB instances ?

The load-balancer pricing is still confusing. Why not showing that as an option ?

ya, that's a good idea! make things more clear.. (personally i still dont get why heroku charges that much)

And the free-tier pricing is up : https://mocloud.io/pricing
