Just another data point, but using Safari Version 8.0.6 (10600.6.3), and I didn't see this issue. It worked as one would expect.

If you use safari connected to the internet with a cable safari does not give the lat-long. Only if you use the wireless. Had this issue the other day.

Not surprised. I'm still very confused why someone would use a web browser built by a company that has a business plan based on shrinking the web.
