Do sites censor their search for personal political reasons?

Is it just poor coding? Why are these public groups / public activists not visible in the search while others, their ideological opposition are not?

Do you run your site with ideological purity, to push people who follow your political party, and push back those you disagree with politically? It seems to be an easy way to create chilling effects to make many avoid services.

Throw away because I don't want every post I make from here on out vote brigaded by the political thought police.
