I get the impression that this varies considerably with the local tech culture. Apologies for making this about me, but has anyone encountered this problem in the Seattle tech market? I'm 36 now, and I'm thinking of moving there sometime soon. As a coder/sysadmin/general tech guy, is this something I should actually be worried about?
