I agree but Aquaponics is definitely a regional activity. Water is an expensive commodity in Los Angeles whereas Seattle, or Portland not so much.


Aquaponics requires very little water ;) Each system contains a lot of water, but the water is constantly recirculated and loss is only through evaporation and plant absorbtion.

What it actually needs is light, and if outside, year around above freezing temps, so LA is WAY better than Seattle or Portland for it.


I have to look into this.
