How do they infer "So you think Islam is terrorist" from a statement of support for free speech? You'd think some basic proofreading would be in order if you're going to go through the effort to make such a statement.

Edit: Why was this submission frozen/removed?

Turning this around, how do we arrive at "a statement of support for free speech" as the result of a domestic terrorist attack? If the target had been a butcher handling, among other things, pork, would we still feel the need to make this proclamation?

Whoa, autoplaying elevator music is quite the contrast to the hacked site's message and color scheme.

Rather worrying when a popular software package site gets hacked like this, they could have easily kept the original site up but just replaced the binary download and file hash and nobody would really know.

Why are websites always hacked by people who write terrible HTML?

This, the worst way to get infected. The link must be removed.

Do you have confirmation that the website is indeed infected?

If a website got hacked why do you link to it? Isn't there a high chance of getting infected with malware now? Isn't sending more users there giving them more than necessary attention to the hackers (I guess they want attention).

This is basically saying, killing the people was OK.

Did they mean "Who killed....?'

Well, to be fair, we (as in the West as a whole, not USA specifically) sorta invaded and messed up them first. They understandably retaliated, which we use for further excuses to invade/manipulate them even more...

Probably because it's a relatively small target to attack while still gaining some exposure, such as front page on HN.

Agreed. It is kinda odd. I don't think that Notepad++ will be doing too well after this. Especially as they already had a blow from the exposure of those in-binary jokes.

Link?
