2. I saw the search as a way of finding a specific venue. Say you went to a great restaurant and you wanted to buzz it, you put the place name in the search, if it's already there you can buzz it, if it's not you can add it. If you want to narrow down all Indian restaurants in a specific area use the black venue category band (hover over restaurants to see the sub-categories).
