Show HN: Zoomable vector drawings on the web

I really wanted to show off vector drawings on the internet and was confounded that there's no place do that.

I built a very basic implementation of what I hope exists in the near future: http://www.longsection.com/drawings/18 (drawing of the ICA in Boston, MA).

Open sourced the basics of what I think can push the medium of vector drawing: https://github.com/moeamaya/zoomable

Well, sure there is. Have you seen http://ziteboard.com ? Drop me a message and I'll show how real-time visual collaboration works - and yes, we're talking vectors.

Appreciate the reply, but I think you may have misunderstood the context of the request. I'm much more interested in a community of folks who produce vector drawings, not a place to collaborate with real-time sketches.

I along with a few others find the world of very deliberately considered drawings a better way to advance ideas. I wanted to discover the best way to share those concepts.

Thanks for the clarification. I guess this solution is capable of becoming such a platform, but need the insights of such visual people. I'm happy to discuss further what would provide real value. What do you see a defining pain-point?

If you guys do this I can't find where on the site it's mentioned.

It's in development, but these 2 demos might give a general overview what will be available in 3 weeks time. http://riport.ziteboard.com/ and http://demo.ziteboard.com/

If you want to try, just send a link to embed and let's give it a spin.
