On: Atlas Shrugged movie in 2008 (Angelina Jolie as Dagny Taggart)

[davidw]

Projected length: 12 hours, with a 2 hour John Galt monologue.

I wonder if Ms Jolie understands the point of the book.

[pius → davidw]

From what I've heard, her and Brad Pitt have both loved the novel for quite some time.

[terpua → pius]

Pitt as John Galt?

[gibsonf1 → terpua]

He would be the perfect Ragnar

[boucher → davidw]

"I wonder if Ms Jolie understands the point of the book."

What exactly makes you wonder that?

[davidw → boucher]

Libertarians/objectivists/whatever don't typically fit the hollywood stereotype.

[terpua → davidw]

I would say Jolie is more of the former and less of the latter.
