Facebook is so powerfully useful. It's easy networking. Super easy to pass a message to anyone you know. No need to remember their email, with just a name I can find out roughly what anyone of my friends is up to and if they are available. Yes it gobbles up huge chunks of time, but it does have a functional purpose.
