If there is a market for this kind of thing (I suspect there is,) it sounds like it would be a sort of "dumb terminal" as a service. You just buy a monitor, a keyboard, and a decent internet subscription. Everything else would be hosted by a (presumably, well designed) web application. Of course, you become completely dependent on connectivity. Personally, I wouldn't want such a service. But I could see it being pretty popular.
