You haven't heard, Microsoft has dropped support for XP.

I'm on Windows 7, just stuck with IE 8 here at work.

IE8 is a pre-HTML 5 browser. Glad to see more and more sites are dropping support for it. Install Chrome. You don't even need admin rights. Your IT dept. never has to know.
