For those who are/were unaware of it, there is a "front page" for HN that is ranked by the votes of only a subset of users - I think it's those users that have been here the longest.
There are other subsets available:
Highest voted recent links.
Most active current discussions.
Highest voted recent comments.
Submissions from new accounts.
Comments from new accounts.
The "Classic" view isn't one of those, nor is the link to only those stories with more than 200 points (for some value of 200). I must go hunt that out ...
