I'm curious - has anyone tried one of these head-mounted displays while on a psychedelic? Do they still get that primal sense of "being somewhere else" as described in the PowerPoint?

For example, it is impossible for me to get immersed in movies while on psychedelic drugs; but when I'm sober I definitely can get "sucked into it". I wonder if this phenomenon applies to VR as well.
