I'm trying to submit an Ask HN post which has only 1848 characters according to http://www.wordcounter.net/ but HN keeps saying:
"Please limit text to 2000 characters."
So is the actual limit lower, or is something broken? Could it be that hyperlinks are converted to HTML before the character count is done?
