We've been part of 4 other YC companies, spanning 4 different YC batches and 2 acquisitions. Never did we ever think we'd be working on a commercial real estate search engine. But here we are.
We discovered in our previous companies how much it sucks to search for office space. It's effectively a data problem and we believe passionately in the power of the internet to bring transparency to rusty old industries. We've found a passion in making beautiful products that help other companies discover their dream office. Frankly, we also love disrupting a $25B industry because no one thought it was possible.
We're looking to bring on a full stack engineers. We work mostly with Ruby on Rails and Node.js. Good hackers can learn any framework of course, so there's no prerequisite on experience -- you just need to be a smart hacker willing to take on problems. We've got backend data needs, front end products to build, mobile apps in need of love. There's lots to do.
We're also super interested in account managers. If you or a friend is looking to break into startups, we'd be happy to be your training ground. All we require is a great attitude, and we'll help you learn the rest.
You don't need to be a previous founder or a YC alum, but you should naturally think like a founder, not an employee. There are now 16 of us, and each of us is a strong-willed, independent thinker. The root of our teamwork is based in respect for each other's talents.
Because we're entirely composed of other capable founders, we only do things like meetings sparingly. It's refreshing. Of course, we play bughouse (team chess) every day. Often, several times a day. .
We also climb and go to a boxing instructor every week (it's an incredible workout). We have uber-healthy food every day. After a few weeks with us, you'll find that you're in the best health of your life. It's an awesome perk.
We won't stand for anything other than simplicity and eloquence in both our design and our code. Hopefully, you feel the same way.
We're SF based. We'll eventually take remote team members, but unfortunately not yet.
