Umm, My wife and I watched Homeland on Netflix. That's streaming and we don't have a cable subscription.

What do you mean? Homeland is only available as dvd/blu-ray on netflix? Showtime and HBO lock down all their streaming.

Certain shows from Showtime are streaming. For example, Netflix has all of 'Weeds' available for streaming.



That means you are paying $8/month, or $96/year, for Netflix.


as opposed to 80 dollars a month for cable. What point are you trying to make?
