Fraud Apple Care Warranty: "Liquid Damage" Lie
2 points by sherjilozair on Sept 4, 2013 | hide | past | favorite
Hey guys,

Has anyone else had a bad experience with Apple Support? My Macbook Air stopped working one fine day, and the Repair Centers refuse to honor the warranty, claiming that there's "Liquid Damage". If I had known about such false claims earlier, I would asked the engineer to open the laptop in front of me. The repair cost asked for is 90% of the cost of the laptop.

How can Apple get away with such outright fraud? I'm 100% sure not a drop of water entered the laptop.

I've read reports on how Apple recently lost a lawsuit[1] because of this "Liquid Damage" bullshit. But, repair centers continue to use this excuse.

What do you guys suggest?
