You should be grateful.

This is very much also true.

But neither of the above implies that you shouldn't move on.

This is a really excellent question. I have no idea how to answer it, as it is different for every person, but this is definitely worthwhile to think about.

The one piece of relevant advice I've read (from What Color Is Your Parachute?, which you should probably read) is to try and transition to something that uses your demonstrable skills, but that also involves being outside, and/or meeting people, and/or creating things.
