Maybe Google Wave won't be as revolutionary as some think, but calling Google arrogant for coming up with new stuff seems just ranting for the sake of ranting.
Ranting for the sake of readership, more likely. A journalist tends to write what sells after all, especially one who boasts about making money from your work :)
