No it's a good TN display. The contrast ratio and overall quality of the MBA TN display is miles ahead of most cheap TN displays - many of which are a pitiful 200:1. You can easily tell the difference between it and a cheap e.g. Acer laptop. http://images.anandtech.com/graphs/graph6063/48121.png
