Ask HN: Could this work?

Small business needs 4 things from an app: The ability to track inventory, money, sales/work orders, and foo

Why not make an app for the first three, and just hire a freelancer for each company's foo?

If the small business just picked the type of business they are (eg. flower shop), the first time you would free lance the foo (maybe tracking flowers in season) out, then each flower shop would get the same foo, with options to customize to each specific business (the flowers they stock).

This removes the bloated options so prevalent in the current small business app, while at the same time ensuring that the user gets a custom experience just for them.

Price point: $200 per month and up (based on users?)
