Also pick up a game-theory textbook, which puts those formal terms in even more formal terms. ;-)

My course used Prajit K. Dutta's Strategies and Games: Theory and Practices (http://www.amazon.com/Strategies-Games-Practice-Prajit-Dutta...), which seemed fairly good, though I don't have much to compare it with.
