I like SourceTree if I really need to spend time in a GUI, but gitk is great for just quick visual overview. I tried a demo of Tower a while back but it just felt like it was getting in the way.

i actually prefer my apps to look good - its a psychological thing. Using a good looking app makes you happier, and thus more productive.
