I recently interviewed at AirBnb and one of the first question the interviewer asked was if I did my undergrad at an IIT. This was a regular while guy in San Francisco.
And I am not a fresh grad, I have been a programmer professionally for over 10 yrs.
I thought it was insane that he choose judge me by that metric where there were so many other metrics he could go off of.
