On: AI is forcing us to pay off 40 years of technical debt

Yeah, I just don't see how every chrome or even firefox tab has to consume 500 mbs each, it's actually insane, even for basic websites like HN

...and not forgetting that there are always 10+ spare threads on the shelf which each consumes 300MB+ while doing nothing...
