It's worse. Even if you talk to them, explain in detail why and how Meta and their products are evil, they will just nod, frown, go "yeah, that's serious, someone should do something", and then they will turn around, check their Whatsapp messages and post a story on Instagram about their lunch.
I went to watch the Social Reckoning (new sequal to the social network), which was somewhat thought provoking. After it finished, I get up to leave and see a couple in front of me immediately start scrolling through facebook and not speaking to each other - made me chuckle!
