This pointless dilution of the TLD space will be its own destruction.

Which is great. I'd prefer http://ajf./ over http://ajf.me./, and it looks like soon enough I might be able to get it, considering how this is destroying the market for 2nd-level domains, hence making it likely we might do away with them altogether.


Curious: how? The only way I can imagine is through app store monopolies, but I doubt that's what you meant.


I think it's the opposite. Many good short .com and .net names are taken by squatters and/or users who don't do anything with them.

This will give a good opportunity to the rest of us.
