That post is pretty incoherent. Try a full sentence out for a change. Being able to communicate effectively is an mordant skill. I'm still not sure what you're complaining about.
I agree with the initial statement, but the rest of your text doesn't make any sense/point to someone who's not already convinced that promises don't solve anything.
This seems like an argument for more manual management of state, less abstraction, and more human compiler. That isn't to say we shouldn't have that discussion, but it is part of that discussion.
